Every hero has an origin story. This is ours…
Back in 2020, the world was put on pause by a little pandemic you might've heard of called Covid-19.
Enter our hero: Peter. A physiotherapist with a simple purpose - to help people move well and live well.
While businesses shut their doors and the country settled into lockdown (essential services aside), Peter watched his friends and family lose access to the care they needed.
So he did something about it. Peter started treating his loved ones over telehealth as a safe way to keep helping when the world had stopped moving. And it worked. But the more people he helped, the more one idea took hold: what if he could do this properly? On a much bigger scale?
Every hero needs a mission. This was his.
But every hero needs a proper headquarters, right?
In 2022, at a mutual friend’s boat party (highly recommended during an Aussie summer, btw!), Peter met Jasper from PCYC Auburn. As the boat cruised under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Jasper mentioned that PCYC had a spare room up for rent.
And just like that, PTC Performance at PCYC Auburn was born.
Peter, with the support of his wife, his family, a few good friends, and some trusted contractors, rolled up his sleeves and built what would be PTC’s home for the next four years. And what a home it was. The client list grew and grew. People came in for high-quality physio, gym equipment for rehab and treatment plans made just for them, and left having ticked off goals they once thought were out of reach.
But sometimes heroes are stronger in teams…
Enter Furqan – a new recruit back in 2024. He brought his own set of powers to the table, steadily building his caseload and landing the role of Head Physio for Parramatta Football Club.
Not long after, Penelope ‘assembled’ with the team, caring for our seniors and patients while sharpening her own skills and growing into her abilities.
And of course, no hero operates without a voice in their ear – mission control. Over the years, PTC has had some brilliant hands and voices behind the scenes, most notably Lizz and Ives, who man our reception remotely, answer every query and keep the clinic running like clockwork.

But in every good movie, the hero eventually needs a new suit…
So in 2026, we changed our whole look. PTC Performance became PTC Physiotherapy – a rebrand that better reflects the quality of care we give and the patients we see.
And we didn't stop there. It was time for something bigger and better.
Welcome to the new PTC Physiotherapy, now open in Lidcombe Shopping Centre! After plenty of training, hard work and the odd battle with aliens along the way, our doors are open and ready for you.
Today, our team of heroes keeps growing – still on the mission to help more people move better and live better. And somewhere along the way, we realised we weren’t the only heroes in the story.
The other heroes? Our clients, of course. The ones who show up session after session
and put in the work to improve their lifestyles. The seniors who once dreaded the stairs and now move with confidence. The kids who struggled with coordination who now have the ability to participate around the playground with their mates. The athletes who look after their bodies, pick themselves back up, and get back on the field.
And that spare bedroom in Peter’s apartment? Well, that’s now a nursery 🙂
